On October 15, 2021 at the European Parliament Office in Rome, the Italian winners and the other 8 finalists of the 2020 and 2021 editions of the European Citizen Award will be award. We are proud to announce that in the 2021 edition also the association Agevolando with the “Care Leavers Network” project and the European network built thanks to “LeaveCare-LiveLife” was among the italian finalists!

Cecilia Dante, national coordinator of the Care Leavers Network, and Carol Roncali, care leaver, both committed and actively involved in the construction of the Italian and European network of young people leaving alternative care paths, will participate in the Award Ceremony. The Prize is awarded annually by the European Parliament to citizens or groups who encourage mutual understanding, greater integration between people, cross-border cooperation and promote the values ​​and fundamental rights of the European Union.

 The finalists and winners are chosen in each country by a jury made up of MEPs and representatives of civil society. For the last two editions Antonio Tajani, PPE-FI, Brando Benifei, S & D-PD, Nicola Danti, Renew-IV, Marco Campomenosi and Antonio Rinaldi, ID-Lega, Carlo Fidanza, ECR-FdI, and Tiziana Beghin, M5S, and representatives of civil society Lucia Abbinante and Serena Angioli of the National Youth Agency, Francesca Landi, SOS Bambini, and Stefano Lampertico, Scarp ‘de tennis. The event, opened with greetings from Carlo Corazza, Head of the European Parliament in Italy, will be moderated by the Corriere della Sera journalist Alessandra Muglia and by the RAI presenter and author Metis Di Meo.
